Although I haven't updated this blog in a while, I'm still learning! I recently completed a class in Java and am continuing to
utilize free-online classes in topics such as SQL and JavaScript. I probably won't be posting on this blog much as its main
purpose is to showcase what I've learned in its functionality more than its content.

August 19, 2017:
Been quite busy lately. I've been working on UDemy Web Development
courses, learning C languages (C, C++, and C#), just started classes for my Cybersecurity degree, and I'm working
on a website for my parents' business.

July 8, 2017:
Used DataTables, a great jQuery plug-in with a lot of customization
options, to vastly increase the usability of my course list table.
I also added links to the resources I'm using to learn and build my page below the table.
July 7, 2017:
Completed my first "project" today. Using JavaScript, I created a Bible verse generator that randomly chooses a verse from an array and displays it on the
page. It also has options to choose different backgrounds.
July 6, 2017:
Completed my first ticket at work today on the project for which I'm the primary tester. It was an easy HTML/CSS
addition, so I took a stab at it. Having my first merge request accepted one year and a day after starting
work here as the admin was pretty cool. Can I tape the word "developer" on my name plate now?
July 3, 2017:
Started learning JavaScript today.
Cue the Aladdin theme song!

Published my v2.0 of this site after re-writing the website with Bootstrap components. I also split the parts of my original one-page site into sub-pages
accessible by the navigation bar. Things are starting to look pretty good around here. I can't wait to learn
more!
June 6, 2017:
Completed the Learn HTML & CSS: Part 1 course (10 hours) from
codecademy. I love this site's courses. They're easy
to understand and extremely interactive. I went from knowing nothing to being able to make this site (homely
as it may be) in three days.

Changed the RAM on my Mac Mini from 4GB to 8GB. My computer didn't begin to smoke or spontaneously combust, so
I'm calling this a win. Also, I can now use more than one program at a time, which is nice. Fun Fact: macOS
Sierra uses about 2.3GB of RAM just to exist. Watch the video below to see me in action.
